Customer guidance
Can the assistant summarize the relationship and explain a next action? In aiVenta, Next Play provides customer-level recommendations and message guidance.
The dealership CRM buying guide
Start with the work your team needs to do. A useful CRM evaluation follows a customer through the dealership, then asks whether every handoff, next action and reported result is clear.
Use the evaluation checklist Evaluate aiVenta with your workflowFirst, define the job
An automotive customer relationship management system organizes dealership customer records, lead handling, communication, appointments, follow-up and sales activity. Its value comes from helping the right person take the right next step with a customer.
For a dealer group, the evaluation also needs to cover dealership scope, ownership and leadership reporting. A group total is useful only when managers can understand the stores and customer activity behind it.
The CRM centers on customer relationships and sales execution. A dealer management system typically supports dealership transaction, accounting and operational records.
Ask how data moves between the systems in your particular environment. Verify supported connections, field ownership, refresh behavior and failure handling before assuming an integration is available.
Evaluate behavior, not a feature count
| Workflow | What to ask the vendor to show | What you are evaluating |
|---|---|---|
| New lead | Ingest an inquiry, inspect source details, assign ownership and send a relevant response. | Clarity of routing, context and responsibility. |
| Customer reply | Find an unanswered reply and continue the conversation from the customer record. | Whether engaged shoppers become visible work. |
| Appointment | Set a visit, review the handoff and inspect the resulting showroom activity. | Continuity between BDC and sales. |
| AI follow-up | Read the evidence, sender, eligibility checks and execution mode before a message proceeds. | Relevance and operating control. |
| Reporting | Open a metric, inspect included customers and explain the denominator. | Whether the number supports a decision. |
| Access | Run the same workflow as a salesperson, manager and authorized group leader. | How permissions and dealership scope affect work. |
Look more closely at AI
“AI-powered” can describe very different capabilities. Ask what information the tool reads, how current that information is and what it is allowed to do.
Can the assistant summarize the relationship and explain a next action? In aiVenta, Next Play provides customer-level recommendations and message guidance.
Can a manager investigate performance and organize work? Ask Venta supports evidence-based operating questions and supported internal follow-up tasks.
Can the system qualify a reason to reconnect and run a controlled journey? VentaSideKick supports shadow, approval and autonomous opportunity programs.
Plan the operating change
List your lead sources, stores, roles, inventory feeds, existing systems and reporting definitions. Identify the records and history that must move, who owns each data source and which workflows need a staged rollout.
Have sales, BDC, leadership and IT evaluate the same customer journey. Each will notice a different handoff. Confirm implementation responsibilities and commercial terms against your actual scope.
Record a baseline for the operating problem you want to improve: unanswered replies, follow-up coverage, response timing or appointment progression.
Use consistent definitions and inspect customer evidence. More recorded activity is not automatically more engagement, and a sale following outreach does not prove that outreach caused it.

Compare the full agreed scope: dealerships, users, enabled workflows, implementation, data migration, messaging usage and ongoing support. Ask for written terms rather than assuming all capabilities are included in a headline price.
Review the feature walkthrough, explore access and operating controls, and bring a real dealership workflow to a demo. Confirm deployment-specific requirements during evaluation.
Bring one customer scenario and the operating problem you want to solve.
